ERR_name_not_resolved everywhere!

I recently changed a previously inherited WP site that was created a separate html/css page that was linked to a WP site for a client. Because the client might make ‘areas’ for their various projects, I wanted to enable multi-site functionality for them so that they could add and manage subdirectories for their new projects instead of doing a brand new WP install each time, and then manually connecting those pages to the hard-coded html page.
I did this all first on my local server and then made it live on WP, after some struggles. Everything was working fine and the 2 sub-directory sites that I created in the local host were cloned in the live environment. All of my actual content didn’t migrate over into the visual editor for some reason, so I had to redo a lot of that.
However – now the client wants a subdirectory which is just a sandbox. When I’m in the admin backend and I go My Sites > Network Admin and navigate to anything on that flyout, I get an error:
‘This webpage is not available
ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED’This also happens if you are logged out and go to http://www.thisismydomain.com/wp-admin and go to ‘forgot password’.
I have no idea how to fix this because it’s by pure luck that I got multisite to work at all. I’m not a developer by any stretch of the imagination and what I’ve read in other forums makes no sense to me :(

I logged in with my personal WP account to post on this issue as I was having issues logging in with my company/client account.

This is wordpress.COM support where we provide support only for sites hosted by wordpress.COM.
What is the exact URL starting with http:// of the wordpress.COM site you refer to please?
And, exactly which wordpress.COM username account registered that site?
I’m asking because we cannot accurately answer questions posted here until we have confirmed the URL referred to and verified the hosting. And, that is why we are all prompted to provide the relevant URL when we create a new thread.

We provide support only for wordpress.COM hosted sites and it seems clear tome that the site you refer to is not among them. Our support docs do not apply to
(1) local installs of wordpress.ORG software on your own server or
(2) wordpress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, and we do not provide support for them at wordpress.COM.Also, note that we do not provide Jetpack support https://jetpack.me/support/ for sites linked to wordpress.COM accounts with the Jetpack plugin.
You are posting to the wrong support forum.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. I’m not sure if I’m posting in the right area. I find the whole WP environment to be completely confusing and I called my hosting support and they directed me to WordPress Support as they could not figure out my issues.
