ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS msg – how do I fix?
-
I am continuously getting a ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS msg when signing into my site. The front end of the site seems to be running normally but I am having trouble with my back end. The only way I can sign into my site is clearing the cookies etc on my browser every time I try to sign in. I got in yesterday and deactivated the unessential plugins but I have the error again this morning.
Any suggestions??

I am suddenly having the same issue and I don’t recall making any changes admin-wise. My site won’t load (www.fr5ed.com) and my admin page won’t either.

Yes – I’ve checked the problem out on Chrome, Safari & Firefox and the error continues to exist on all browsers.

I noticed that you currently don’t have a WordPress.com blog. If you’re having problems with a site not hosted with WordPress.com, we may not be able to help. To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities.
You can find support for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress here and here. Otherwise contact your hosting provider to help you resolve the issue.

Sorry .. yes, you’re right I did post on both forums as I was confused over which one to use. My host provider advised it was a WordPress problem. I will hop over to the WordPress.org forum.
Many thanks for clearing that up for me!

@fredlanger fr5ed.com is hosted on Blue Host
The site you are asking about does not seem to be hosted on WordPress.COM so you need to make friends over at WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using.
This site is for support of sites hosted on WordPress.COM. You should address your questions to WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using: http://wordpress.org/support/
