Erroneous Domain Name Cancellation

    I recently requested a refund on my WordPress upgrade and erroneously gave up the purchased domain name with it. I had been hoping that I could simply repurchase it, but it seems that it’s still stuck under WordPress’s registrar. Would it be possible to reverse that cancellation to retrieve the domain?

    Hi there,

    Cancelled domains aren’t released immediately, no, but it appears that since you posted this thread your domain has been deleted at the registry, so if it’s not available yet, it should be within the next day or two.

    As the domain has already been deleted at the registry, it’s not longer possible to reverse the cancellation at this point, and we no longer have control over the domain. Now it’s up to the registry if and when the domain will be released.
