  error 404. What are the steps to take to solve error 404. Front page does not exist.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi,

  In your Settings > Reading section, you currently have the ‘static page’ option selected for your front page. You’ll need to use the drop-down menu next to the static page option to choose which page you want to display for your front page – you currently don’t have one selected, and that is why the 404 error is showing.

  When your delete the placeholder Hello World post a 404 (page not found) error message will appear http://en.support.wordpress.com/not-found/ but as soon as you publish a post, not a page it will disappear.
