Error 500

    Hi,

I have a business plan with my website hosted on WordPress.com. Yesterday, I was trying to optimize my website using the plugin Autoptimize. This morning, I found the entire site down with the following message:
    ‘Error 500
The server encountered a syntax error, and could not complete your request.
Website owner? check your code, and your debug log, you may find a ‘parse’ error in there.
Visitor? Try and reload it in a few minutes.’

I deactivated the plug in but nothing has changed. Can you please check and let me if the problem was due to the plug in or not? and how should I deal with that?

I did searches online and on the wordpress forum. It seems that all solutions (proposed online) revolve around having FTP which I don’t have access to given my site is hosted on WordPress.com

I would appreciate your rapid response

    Regards,
