My friend invited me to help him fix: jonkerschilderenonderhoudsbedrijf.nl
he has Error 500 since installing a ‘functions plugin’, since then the whole website is giving error 500. I wanted to help him fix that through ftp but he said his website is hosted on wordpress.com itself so…. what do I do? -
Hi ,
Please follow the steps in our WordPress troubleshooting guide. It will help you figure out the issue and then you will be able to fix it.
Hope this helps.
Thank you.

thank you kruni0524,
I checked the link you sent. You are right I should’ve requested support more properly. Unfortunatelly in the current situation even the dashboard gives Error 500 so there is no option in accessing any of the backend properties of the website. The site is hosted on wordpress.com, should my friend still be possessing some kind of ftp account in this case?

PS. I also cannot accept his admin invite as I get this error on a small popup after clicking the accept link:
The Jetpack site is inaccessible or returned an error: transport error – HTTP status code was not 200 (500) [-32300]

If the site you have problems with is hosted here at WordPress.com and you are installing plugins does that mean the site is using the Business plan? If so note that a Business plan user has access to direct support from Staff. You can contact Staff via the contact form at https://wordpress.com/help/contact but you must be logged in to the username account that purchased the upgrade.
