error 500 trying to login to my site
-
Hi. Am having trouble logging in to my site. I have changed the password and continue to get the error 500. Any thoughts on how I can regain site access?

Could you send a link to the web page you’re having trouble with? I don’t see any sites associated with this account, and it sounds like it may be with another hosting provider, rather than our managed hosting service.
This article might help if you’re still having trouble:

Good luck!

Truely I get confused with technology at times. My username under which I am posting now doesn’t have a site associated with it – I don’t know why that is – no doubt user error. I have another user name associated with my WordPress site. That site is visible on the internet. The issue is when I attempt to log on. I get the link to re-set the password. When I click on that link I am able to re-set the password. And then I get this error attempting to log in with the new credential:
This page isn’t working

Ah, yup, that is a copy of WordPress hosted with HostGator.
I’d recommend asking them for help first. If this started with a recent update they may be able to identify the plugin or help you restore a recent backup if you have one. And these tips really will help you get to the bottom of most Internal Server Error issues:
