error 522
-
Trying this because, disappointingly, I have not heard back from wordpress.com after submitting three support tickets. For the past few weeks my blog has been giving me (and visitors) an error 522 message. It does not seem to happen consistently — on and off. For instance I just posted and on my pc the post displays fine and comes up quickly — on iPhone, I get the error message. Sometimes it happens in the reverse. I do use Cloudflare, but they say the problem must be on the WordPress.com end. Can someone help? I’m getting complaints from my regular visitors and because this has been happening for quite some time I’m afraid I’m going to lose them.

I can’t see anything wrong with your blog (Nice work!) but I flagged this for staff to sort out.

thank you raincoaster! I changed two ip addresses in cloudflare and that seems to have fixed the problem…temporarily. I need a more permanent fix because I kind of stumbled upon that solution in the forums. My understanding is that ip addresses routinely change via wordpress.com and if cloudflare is trying to access my blog using an ip address that wordpress.com has out of rotation, my site goes down. I don’t know HOW to find out when and which ip addresses change.

There is no way for you to control that, I’m afraid. There have been stories of Cloudflare issues causing WordPress.com problems before.
