error 80
-
I am unable to make changes to my domain name. Whenever I try to update the plugins, I get an error 80. Contacting my domain host has not solved the issue. I am unable to change the domain name myself as I need the updated plugins to change the settings. I had told my domain host I no longer wanted zenazillion.com as my domain, rather, I wanted djmillet.com to be my domain name.
Thanks.

Ok I added a tag so a staff person can help your website link takes me to your host I am assuming site
try to clear browser cookies/cache and refreshing your wp account by logging out and back in -
Clearing the cookies or catch and refreshing my account do not remidy my issue. Thanks for adding a tag. I changed the ns servers to wordpress ones at the host server where I registered my domain names above. That did not help me either.

@djmillet
There is no domain mapping upgrade for djmillet.com here at WordPress.COM. And, there is no domain mapping upgrade for zenazillion.com.zenazillion.com is hosted by Colo4

ns1.hawkhost.com
ns2.hawkhost.comWe provide support here only for blogs hosted by WordPress.COM. That site is NOT hosted by WordPress.COM. You are posting to the wrong support forum for your software.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG and need support for that site in the future and if you do not have a WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there.

It’s is good that you want to help but unless you can do the research required to provide accurate and complete responses, you are risking wasting the time of the blogger who posts for help and increasing their frustration, wasting your own time, and wasting Staff’s time when you tag threads for their assistance and it is not required. There is no Staff support at WordPress.ORG at all. There are peer support forums and support docs (the codex) only. And. our WordPress.COM Staff do not provide support for WordPress.ORG software installs. -

Hi all! I’ve deleted all of the off topic posts in this thread.
@djmillet & @jdc2018 – To clarify, here in the WordPress.com forums, we can really only help with WordPress.com hosted sites. If you need help with a self hosted site, post over in the WordPress.org forums:
For reference, here’s some information about the differences between WordPress.com, our shared hosting platform using the WordPress software, and WordPress.org, the free open source project:
@timethief, @auxclass, & @galois – In the future, please do not attack other members of the forums. I understand the frustration when you see incorrect answers given, but please approach these threads as you would any other.
Remember to keep your comments on the topic of the thread, not other users:
- Be aware of your tone and focus. We love positive and productive discussions, so please keep comments on the topics at hand and not on other members of the community.
- Promote a respectful and friendly atmosphere. Every person has the right to ask and answer any questions, as well as participate in discussions and suggest new features. Welcome new users and stay on topic.

@jdc2018 – Thanks for helping out here in the forums! We love to have new users help out. Make sure you double check your answers by searching our support documents:
Including links to the documents along with your written explanation can be a big help for users as well.
If you’re ever uncertain about the answer to a question, feel free to let the user know you’re unsure and tag the thread for staff follow up. That way you’re certain they get the right answer and then you know how to respond next time the question comes up!
