error adding html text for linking through an image
-
hello,
i’m writting a post and i would like to add a link to a page through an image. my html begins with <iframe src=…. but when i write it on the HTML page and change to the visual page, the only thing i see is a square with no image. then if i save the changes, it gets converted automatically in <a href=… and if i change again to the visual page, what i see is the link, but no image.
could you help me telling me which is the problem? i’m not an expert in html at all and have no idea about what’s wrong.
thanks!!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Our software will strip out iframe code for security reasons:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/I’m not sure why you need a frame to have an image link to a page?

The usual way to make an image link to a page (or another image, another site, another post, and so on) would be to insert the URL of the link into the line “Link URL” when you insert the image.

doesn’t wordpress accept links to amazon, for example? i got the link from this page and they told me the link is correct.

User advertising is, except for a couple very narrow exceptions, not allowed on wordpress.COM. For the exceptions, see the last sentence under “Affiliate marketing blogs” in the bottom set of bullet points in the “types of blogs” link below and also review the support document on advertising.
