    My site is saying that there is a fatal error and the site cannot be reached. Name already in use Google analytics

    I don’t have a site linked to this WordPress.com account

    The error is as follows

    Fatal error: Cannot declare class MI_MetaBox, because the name is already in use in /homepages/12/d759676992/htdocs/app759677104/wp-content/plugins/google-analytics-for-wordpress/includes/admin/meta-box.php on line 11

    Thanks for that! We are unable to help because we don’t host your site directly on our WordPress.com managed hosting. Instead, your site is hosted with a different provider on a separate host, and we’re not able to access the backend of your site to take a closer look. But I can get you pointed in the right direction.

    That error indicates that the problem is stemming from the google-analytics-for-wordpress plugin. If you can access your site via FTP, you can navigate to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory and either delete the google-analytics-for-wordpress folder or rename it to disable the functionality on your site and that should allow you to log back into your site.

    Then, I would reach out to the plugin development team for help in resolving that error on your site. You can find their support forum here:

    If you’re not familiar with FTP or don’t have your FTP login information, reach out to your host for that information. Since they’re hosting your site’s files, they also have access to those files and are the best ones to help you with this issue.
