error code 1001

  I tried to renew my domain and did the transaction, the money went through yet I have got error code 1001 and nothing happened. Will I get a refund?

  Hi there,

  Your domain was actually transferred to GoDaddy.com at some point after it was registered here. Our system was still reading it as still being registered here due to a glitch, so I’ve gone ahead and taken care of that. I’ve also refunded you the $5 difference between the domain renewal with domain mapping and just domain mapping.

  You’ll still need domain mapping to keep your domain pointed at us and to keep it functioning. If you’d rather point your domain elsewhere, let me know and I can cancel the domain mapping as well and refund you the additional $13 within the next 30 days!

  I’ve verified that your domain HAS been renewed at GoDaddy.com and is good out until 2014-04-21.

  Hey, I’m actually happy with the reneval only the mapping is an unecessary cost because I want to totally disconnect it from wordpress therefore if you refund and cancel the mapping and keep the domain reneval that would be perfect.

  Hi there,

  That’s not a problem! You’re completely refunded. The domain is still registered over at GoDaddy.com, so you can do with it as you will, you’ll just need to log in to your account at GoDaddy.com and manage the domain there!
