error cropping image

When I want to add a photo as a custom header image, there is a message: There has been an error cropping your image. It happens only with pictures with quotes on it, but it’s a nornal jpg and quite small, just like other photos that were added. Don’t know what to do. Would be very grateful for your help.

There are quite a lot of images that have the message while cropping:
dsc_5801-1m.jpg
dsc_5793-1m.jpg
dsc_1155-1m.jpg
dsc_6336-1m.jpg
and more
while this one and more are ok: dsc_7489-1m.jpg

Many thanks for that additional information – I can’t see any images with quotes in the media library there.
I also can’t seem to replicate the issue being faced there. Can you tell me what browser you’re using along with any browser extensions that are in place please?

I’m using Google Chrome. Sorry, but I don’t know what browser extensions are and how to find them.
I’ve removed some photos from my library, so it’s possible that there are none left with quotes.
When I want to add a header image, I press “Add new image” and then choose an image and press “select and crop” – then with many pictures (not all of them) there is a picture with button “crop”, but with no lines to crop on the picture, and when I press “crop” the error message appears.
I don’t know how to enclose any screenshots here to show you the message :(

I’ve asked my husband – he’s much better with computers than me but he also doesn’t know how to find the browser extenssions, sorry for the problem and many thanks for your help!

Many thanks for that sceenshot it’s most useful.
This is actually a known issue, that we’re working on, for images that are of a certain size, usually 1080px wide/high.
To overcome this, you can try resizing the browser or zooming in and out of the browser, to make the cropping tool appear.
