    Error establishing a database connection
This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at localhost:3306. This could mean your host’s database server is down.

Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
Are you sure you have typed the correct hostname?
Are you sure the database server is running?
If you’re unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.

    Hi there!

We primarily provide support for WordPress.com sites on this forum. Your site may be using the WordPress.org software that’s hosted elsewhere. If that’s the case, you’d need to either reach out to your hosting service provider for help or post on the WordPress.org community forum here: https://wordpress.org/support/forums

There are some differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org. If you aren’t sure about them, please check the following page that explains it well: WordPress.com vs WordPress.org.

If you’re not sure if your site is on WordPress.com or WordPress.org, please share the address of your site and we can check to confirm.

    Regards
