(sorry for the bad English, im Brazilian :) )

Guys, I recently updated wordpress to version 6.3. Initially nothing changed, the site was working normally and without errors. But after a few days of the update, the error screen started to appear when I try to open the site in the administrator account:

Searching and looking for more about this error on the internet, I found that it was some error in the website’s database code. Apparently I would have to check if the data entered in the Wp-Config.php file was correct.

So, I would have to open my cpanel, go to “online file manager”. It would open a tab called ”Monsta FTP” , where all the folders and files on the site would be.

    Even doing all the steps of opening Wp-Config.php and inserting the correct data in the fields: ‘DB_NAME’, ‘DB_USER’, ‘DB_PASSWORD’, ‘DB_HOST’;
Following the information contained in the ‘MySQL Databases’ tab of Cpanel, nothing changes. The website still continues with the same database Error message.

(a fact that I wanted to clarify that I noticed was that, opening the softaculous installer, clicking on the wordpress installation and checking the ”database details” part, I realized that the database information that was written there ( except the database name) were different from the information that was written when I opened mysqldatabases. In fact, the ‘Database User’ field and the ‘ Database Host’ field were different when comparing the information from the two. I don’t know if this is common, but my theory would be: maybe being different would be causing a conflict in the website’s database maybe?)

Anyway. Trying some other solutions like: changing password, creating new database. Nothing resolved. By the way, I just discovered a few more errors in the process of trying to solve the database error XD

Like for example: when I tried to backup the site to make some changes, like trying to disable plugins/theme. In online filer manager, when trying to download files from the htdocs folder. this error appeared:

And it doesn’t stop there: when clicking on ”admin” to open the database, this error appears:

detail: I can open the site on the main page when I’m not trying to log in to the admin account. (You can even do this test yourself, I believe). But when I open other tabs on the site, the site goes back to the original error:

Please guys help me out with this I need this issue resolved before next week XD

    specs: i use infinityfree, cpanel

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

I’ve taken the time to look into your website and noticed that it’s actually using the WordPress.org software and is hosted by a different provider.

WordPress.org is the same foundational software we use here at WordPress.com, but it’s set up a little differently. Because of this, the specific help you may need can be different. To get the most appropriate help for your issue, I’d recommend posting your question in the official WordPress.org support forums, which you can find here: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/.

That said, I would also like to mention an alternative for you. You can migrate your website to WordPress.com. We are a managed-hosting platform, which means we take care of all the maintenance and security tasks so that you can focus on creating content for your website. We also offer dedicated WordPress support through both email and live chat to ensure your questions or issues are handled promptly and efficiently.

If this sounds like something that could interest you, we’ve built an easy-to-use tool specifically for migrating WordPress sites from other platforms to WordPress.com. You can learn more about how to use this tool here: https://wordpress.com/support/import-using-move-to-wordpress-com/

You can also take a look at our various plans and what they offer on this page: https://wordpress.com/pricing/

If you have any other questions or if there’s anything else you’d like to discuss, don’t hesitate to let me know.
