    Error establishing a database connection – what can I do to resolve the problem? Can’t log into the admin screen either.

    Hi there,

    It looks like you have a self-hosted WordPress.org website rather than a WordPress.com site hosted here. Because of that, there isn’t that much which we will be able to do to help. We really only provide assistance with sites that are hosted here with WordPress.com.

    With that said, I just did a public Whois lookup for your site right here:

    http://who.is/whois/cherylmarkosky.com

    And according to the nameservers for your domain, it looks like your hosting is with Dreamhost. If you get a hold of their support, they may be able to tell you why your site isn’t able to connect to your database.
