Error establishing a database connection

Error establishing a database connection. Added the db in myphpadmin (MAMP localhost). I also configured the db in wp-config.php with no luck. Can anyone please help? Thank you!

I have a problem with a local wordpress site that I’ve installed. I moved the whole folder from MAC OSX Mavericks to a newly installed MAC OSX Yosemite. I do not need help with my blog. Thanks!
