Error establishing a database connection

    i am getting this error. i am using WordPress 2.7. also giving correct database information for Create a Configuration File.

    Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
    Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?

    You are in the wrong forum. You need to be at http://wordpress.ORG/support/ since that is where self-hosted blogs are supported. This forum is for those hosted here at the wordpress.COM free hosting service and our software works differently.
