Hi there,
I’m getting error HYTFSI while trying to add a new payment method to my account. When I’m trying to subscribe to a plan, my payments don’t go through (credit card and Google Pay).
Please help me resolve this issue.

I don’t see anything that would be preventing that.
Is it under the account you’re currently logged in to?

Yes, that’s correct. I’m getting this notification:
“Error preparing new payment method configuration. Please contact support quoting error HYTFSI.”

Just to be sure, are you using one of the payment methods listed at https://wordpress.com/support/payment/ ?

When I was trying to pay with my credit card (MasterCard), I got payment declined. With Google Pay, I got to the processing page and then stuck. There’s no sign of the payment on either the Google Pay or WordPress account.
When I want to add a payment method in the Purchases tab on my WordPress account, the page doesn’t load at all and I don’t have any options to choose from. There’s only the error message mentioned above.

Were you trying to pay with the same declined card through GooglePay?
If so, you’ll need to contact your credit card provider about that.

I’ve already done that. They say it’s nothing on their side. Whether it is a card issue or not, doesn’t explain why I can’t add any payment method.
