Error in connecting Facebook to WordPress

  After clicking “connect,” I receive an error “500 status code…” and can’t successfully link my facebook account to WordPress to easily share my blog posts. Any ideas?

  Hi thebudgetnerd,

  thebudgetnerd.com is a WordPress.org site hosted by Bluehost (rather than WordPress.com). The Jetpack connection for this site isn’t working correctly please try deactivating and deleting the Jetpack plugin, then reinstall, reactivate and reconnect.

  If that doesn’t help and you are still seeing a 500 error, please contact Bluehost as this indicates a server issue — they should be able to check their logs and provide more information about what is going wrong.
