Error in importing Posterous blog. What should I try next?

  I backed up my Posterous blog, unzipped it, then followed the WordPress instructions for import. The XML file to import is called “wordpress_export_1.xml. To all appearances it is in fact an XML file. But when I click Upload, it returns the error, “This is not an XML file.”

  You cannot upload a zip file. Per the guide at http://en.support.wordpress.com/import/import-from-posterous/ you’ll need to upload the wordpress_export_1.xml file, not the one you tried to import.
