Error in Importing .xml Document

  Hi there!

  I am now trying to import a .xml document of a Chinese blog platform ‘LOFTER’ to WordPress. I have read the guide ‘Importing Content from Another Platform’. Since it’s a .xml document as in the Square Space example, I tried the WordPress importer.

  But the web says
  ‘Sorry, there has been an error.
  There was a problem with your WordPress import file. It doesn’t seem to be in a valid format.’

  What I can be sure of is the format of my document. And it does have an extension of .xml at the end. But I don’t know what’s wrong in the process.

  Is there a way to find it out? Or should I try another way?

  Hello there,

  Try to import file with .xml extension. You can check format of your xml file.

  Thanks! I’ve checked my document, and the reply is:

  This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.

  Does it mean it’s not a functioning format?

  Hi there,

  It seems the XML file you have exported is not compatible with WordPress.com framework and giving an error.

  I add modlook so staff will take it up further.
