Error in profile when posting here in the forums.

Hello.
I have an error here in my profile when posting in the forums. Right next to my user name is an avatar that is not in my Word Press profile, and the website below is an old, defunct site that I no longer use. My current website is not posted as it should be. This should be an easy fix? What am I missing?

You can manage your Gravatar that is used on the forums at https://wordpress.com/me . The ‘profile links’ at the bottom should let you know which site is associated.

No problem, I’m happy to help get to the bottom of this.
Our next troubleshooting step is to work on your Gravatar profile.
Can you log in to https://en.gravatar.com and click My Profile > Websites > Add your current website ?

One other thing to check – is the blog you’re wanting to display associated with the account you’re logged in to?
Will you please
- Click on “My Sites” in the upper left
- Click on “Switch Sites”
- Is http://www.westsidephysicstutor.com. in the list of sites to choose from?

Hello,
I can’t find anything else other than my profile associated with http://davidschalek.com
I suspect that I have an old account that was never deleted. How can we get rid of it?

@dschalek, you might just be logged in to your old account on the forums.
Did your accounts use two different emails – one with this old site and one for your newer site?
If so, log out of the old one (do it while you’re logged into the forums and seeing your old picture/ old website!) and then just log back in using the newer account.There is no way to delete an account, only to consider them inactive. Logging out and not using it is will effectively do the same thing. You can just have your computer update the saved information or remember the newer account information rather than the old one.

I can’t find my old account. For example, when I click on my user name to the left, I pull up my current, correct account information. This is not a big deal if we can just remove the “The blog I need help with is http://www.westsidephysicstutor.com.” tagline.

@dschalek, let me see if I’m understanding this right – the ONLY place you can find the link to an old site – which is your westsidephysicstutor.com – is here in the forums.
Other than that, you’re seeing all the correct information with your http://www.davidschalek.com/ website?(Do I have that right – including which website you want to see?

Actually, @dschalek, it looks like your new site isn’t hosted by WordPress.com – so we aren’t going to be able to help you at these forums, anyway! You are hosted by a third party and not wordpress.com, so I’m guessing you have a wordpress.ORG site. You will find better help at wordpress.org/support and you won’t have a need to be on these forums at all. :)
Here’s a link about the difference between wordpress.com and wordpress.org.
Hopefully the issue is updated over at that site and your old blog won’t be on your profile there. That might also be why you don’t see the old blog when you’re logged in!
