Error in theme

  I activated a theme for my blog ; tryed to tweak it and fix it to how i wanted it but then a error appeared. Now when i try to go to my website it says

  “Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/kathy714/public_html/wp-content/themes/hope/functions.php on line 48”

  Please Help , I don’t know what to do.
