Error: Invalid User
-
My weblog is http:/www.fromtherecamier.org, and I am unable to sign in with my user name of Kathryn023. Instead, I get “ERROR: Invalid User”. I know that I am using the correct user name, because when I click the option when I’ve forgotten my password, I enter my username (the same one that is allegedly ‘invalid’, and I get a new password (sent to the Email address associated with my username). In the past few weeks, this would work: I’d get “ERROR: Invalid User”, ask for a new password, plug in my user name & the new password, and be logged in. But, as of last night (May 10, 2009), that does not work anymore, and while my user name can be used to generate new passwords, I then am unable to sign in. I can’t sign in on my computer using the AOL Browser, using the Internet Explorer browser, using my Internet Explorer Browser on another computer, or using my BlackBerry Curve Internet browser. So far as I can tell, it’s as if WordPress.com has unilaterally decided to change my username for my weblog. I sent a letter to Support last evening, but have not gotten a response, and am about to send them a new support request. Please help!!!!!

You did not specify a blog address or reason for posting when you created this topic.
This support forum is for WordPress.com hosted blogs only. If you have a self-hosted WordPress blog you need to seek help at the WordPress.org forums, not here.
If you don’t understand the difference, you may find this information helpful.

I could not specify a blog address or reason for posting, because I would need to be signed in as Kathryn023 to WordPress.com, and the crux of my problem is that WordPress.com keeps telling me that Kathryn023 is not a valid user name! But my weblog is http:/www.fromtherecamier.wordpress.com, and I assure you it is a WordPress.com hosted weblog.
