  When I try to log out of my site, the page goes blank. After that, when I click on the refresh button, the log out page appears, with a message that some unexpected error had occurred. I can then log out from that page. This problem developed recently, a few days ago

  To clarify here, are you seeing this issue in your WordPress.com account? For example, are you seeing the error you mentioned at https://wordpress.com/view/imperialismandthethirdworld.wordpress.com?
