Error message: "Apologies, but no entries were found."
-
Dear Engineering Team,
Today I managed to set up my blog through your website and started updating the four sites within the same. When I put the basic web address http://margittakacs.wordpress.com/ , there is always a message showing up “Apologies, but no entries were found.”. I don’t know how to get rid of this so that my website’s visitors automatically would go to http://margittakacs.wordpress.com/welcome/. Would you be able to help me with this, please?
Warm regards, Margit

re: front page 404 (page not found) error
That error message can easily be addressed. Publish a post not a page and it will be gone. By default the front page of your blog displays all posts (not pages) in reverse chronological order, with the most recently published post on top. The 404 (page not found) error message on the front page of the blog appeared because the Admin of the blog deleted the placeholder Hello World post. http://en.support.wordpress.com/not-found/ -
No, go to Settings -> Reading, click “Front page displays” -> “A static page“, select Welcome from the Front page pulldown, scroll down and click Save Changes.
