error message: Bad Gateway when trying to update plugins

I am unable to update most of the plugins on my sites. I keep getting an error message ‘Bad Gateway’ when I attempt to update them. This is really frustrating because I have 10 or 11 plugins that need updating on all three of my sites. These are plugins such as Jetpack, WooCommerce, Elementor, etc.
I called my hosting company’s support line, and they make it sound like it’s the plugins’ fault, not theirs, so they won’t fix it.
What should I do?

502 Bad Gatewayerror is a server-level error, which is 100% the problem of your hosting provider. It’s a general error that indicates there’s something wrong with your website’s server communication.They should be able to check their server error logs and pinpoint the problem.
