error message: birthrightextension.wordpress.com doesn’t exist

  This is the line I get when I try and load my website:

  birthrightextension.wordpress.com doesn’t exist
  The address birthrightextension.wordpress.com cannot be registered. Sorry, that site is reserved! But you can sign up and choose another one.

  I have checked my Domain and birthrightextension.com domain is owned by me until 2019, and it is active.

  Why can I not access my site online?

  Did you notice that the address in your question,
  birthrightextension.wordpress.com
  which matches the domain name you own

  differs from the address linked by WordPress to your user name:
  http://birthrightextensiondotcom.wordpress.com/
  and has a nice website?

  When you mapped the domain to your WordPress site, did you map it to: birthrightextension.wordpress.com
  instead of
  birthrightextensiondotcom.wordpress.com ?

  That is what it looks like has happened. I have tagged this thread for the good WordPress folks to look into, they can see if you own both blogs, and if the inactive site is the one that has the mapping upgrade.

  Hi there,

  As @dave2swords also points out, the site in your account is http://birthrightextensiondotcom.wordpress.com/

  birthrightextension.wordpress.com has not been created, and can only be created by the person with the matching username, in other words, by the account birthrightextension. Your account cannot register that domain.

  The domain, birthrightextension.com, used to be mapped to the site, http://birthrightextensiondotcom.wordpress.com/, by the username birthrightextension, so I think the issue here is that you’re logged into the wrong account. Log out of the admissionslivnotorg account and log back in as birthrightextension, and you’ll be able to register the matching free site and connect your domain to that site instead if you prefer.
