Error message–can't save changes.

  All of a sudden, I am receiving the following error message when trying to save changes to a page: “An error occurred while saving the post.
  Assigned author cannot publish post.” I am an administrator for our site. The other administrator-level user has also started getting this error message.

  The message only appears when accessing pages through “Reader”. When I access pages through “My Site”, the same changes can be saved without an error message.

  Our website is http://www.fullcircleseries.com.

  Hi Linsey,

  I’m sorry for the trouble! Do you get this error message all the time, even when you are editing pages you created, or only when you edit a page that someone else on the site created? That will help me pinpoint what’s going wrong and report that issue to our team for you. :)

  Ah hah! You have indeed narrowed it down. The error occurs only when trying to edit a page I did not create. And I get it only when I get to the page through “Reader”. I can still edit when I get in through “My Site”.

  I’ll need to check with the other administrator user to make sure she has the same experience.

  Thanks, Linsey! I reported this to our team so we can investigate this for you. We aren’t exactly sure yet what’s going wrong, so it may take some time for us to track down and fix the problem. I’ll let you know as soon as I get an update about it. :)

  The other administrator didn’t create any of the pages, so she is completely unable to edit since this happened. Hope you can figure it out soon. Thx!

  Hi Linsey,

  Can you ask your other administrator to try editing those pages directly from the WP Admin dashboard to see if that works for her? She can use this link to get directly to the list of pages on the site:

  https://fullcircleseries.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=page

  Yes, when she uses the link, she can edit without any problem.
