Error message for comments – Sorry, this comment could not be posted.

  Hi!
  When people post comments at my blog, they are getting the message – “Sorry, this comment could not be posted.” My settings haven’t changes, so I can’t work out why.

  Hi Kay,

  Do you have any additional information regarding who has had trouble posting? That error typically means either they have left open the browser window open to your post much longer than we’d expect or a firewall is interfering with their connection to WordPress.com in some way.

  I had a theory it might be European users having troubles, but as it’s the guest on my blog who alerted me to the problem, it might be the browser open to long trouble you speak of! I will contact the commenter and find out.
