Error message importing WordPress.org site

    I am trying to import my wordpress.org website export file and get the error message that there don’t appear to be any authors in the file. I have tried exporting all posts with all authors, and separate files for each author, and I keep getting the same message.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Is the site you have the XML export file from still online?

    If yes, what is the URL?

    Did you remove any unmoderated and spam comments before you created the export file?

    If the file is large you may have to import Posts, Pages, etc. in separate files. Or if the file is very large Staff may have to do the import.

    Hi there,

    What is the URL of the site you’re exporting from, please?

    Are you using the importer at My Site ->Settings ->Import? Can you please check what happens if you try Tools ->Import in the WP-Admin dashboard instead?
