Error message on front page of blog
-
Anyone know how to get rid of this error message on my front page?
This is somewhat embarrassing, isn’t it?
It seems we can’t find what you’re looking for. Perhaps searching, or one of the links below, can help. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It seems you found out: when you delete the placeholder post, you have to make a post or there’s nothing to display there.
-
But I DO have a post and I can view it just fine from the dashboard. But when I type in the URL (and try to share it with my students) all I get is the same message listed by artqueenclaire above

Note that your blog visibility is set to private and we Volunteers cannot view the blog. If you need further assistance you will have to contact Staff. -
If your site is private, and your students do not have a wordpress.com account, and/or are not logged into their account, and/or you have not specifically set them all as viewers at settings > privacy, then they will not be able to see your posts or site.
If they do have permission, and are logged in, the post has to be “published” and not set to private and it cannot be a “draft.”
