Error message on "Save Draft"

I am using a fairly standard wordpress.com blog. While doing a “save draft” on a posting (that I had not yet created a title for) I got the following error message.

You appear to have installed the AMP plugin incorrectly. It is currently installed in the amp-1.4 directory, but it needs to be placed in a directory named amp. Please rename the directory. This is important for WordPress plugin auto-updates.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    I should note the following:

The error message persists, even after I add a title and “save draft”

I am using the HTML version of the “classic editor” because it doesn’t suck.

I am on a free version of WP.com, so I have no ability to install, change, edit, or see plugins, let alone their directories. (If I do have that ability, I would be shocked, since I can’t access any other part of the directory structure).

Oh, and actually saving the draft of the post appears to work correctly.

  • HI there,

That error was due to an upgrade we made to the AMP feature yesterday. The cause of that error has already been fixed, but thanks for reporting it :)
