Error message on uploading Jpeg banner

    Trying to upload a Jpeg for the banner pic. It’s correct-sized (1000×288) and I’ve tried one or two others without problems today. Now I get an ‘Oops’ error message from you. I’ve tried the suggested Refresh the Page suggestion without any luck. Can’t really see what the problem is. I’m setting up a new blog.

    So the media library is nowhere near full? What is the actual filename, on your computer? Sometimes if there is punctuation in it, that causes a problem.

    Thanks for the quick reply. I shut down my PC, went and had a cup of tea, restarted, logged in, and this time it did upload. Must have been a WordPress momentary glitch (though I did try several of the Page refreshes over about 10 minutes). It’s the only pic in my media library at the moment. All’s well, as somebody once said, that ends well…
    The only thing I wish is that there was an alternative to that wiiiiide banner. Difficult to find a photo that will look good as a panorama – I deal mostly with people. I know it’s because of the Blog format, but I would love a side landscape function. Are there any that I’m missing in the Themes?
