Error Message – Picture Upload not supported by Blog

  Please Help- urgent problem!!!
  This is a class blog which I update daily and have done for over four years now. I published as normal on Monday and Tuesday, but when I came to it last night I kept getting the above error message and it wanted me to go through an ‘FTP’ which I have no idea what it even is. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software, I have looked at the forum and tried ‘updating settings’ and unclicking the ‘linked’ option but it simply will not post.
  I have a ‘dummy’ account I use to practice with and the post has uploaded fine onto that, so it seems to be with this page – but why has it suddenly stopped?
  I have also tried on three different computers in ase it was ‘my pc’ and on a different internet connection (both at home and at school). Am pulling my hair out as I just cannot seem to sort this and have no idea where or why I am stuck.
  PLEASE help asap as this is something I update daily and pictures are the pivotal element of it. :-(

  Can I just add that I write my blogs through Windows Live Writer 2012. I tried to post tonight using the wordpress page directly but it is incredibly slow and clunky and will not upload all my photographs either – ARGHH!!!!
