Error message regarding permission to use features on site.
-
Hello. I keep getting error messages that say that I don’t have permission to do things – like i just edited the text on a page and when i pressed the preview button, it said i don’t have permission to preview drafts. This problem started a few months ago. I hadn’t logged onto my blog for a couple months and then got the same message regarding permission to log into my admin page. I’ve checked the user setting and i’m set up as an administrator (i’m the owner of the blog). I did a whole password reset and have been able to log in since, but this new error just came up. This is making the maintaining of my site really difficult. I’m currently using chrome and i just tried to do the preview thing using firefox as well. Can you please help me?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Thanks for getting a hold of us with this. It is definitely an unusual problem!
Screenshots are a huge help with understanding issues like this – can you please take a screenshot of the error and then upload it to your Media Library so I can better understand what’s going on? Please try to include the URL bar in the screenshot!
Once it’s uploaded, if you could respond here with a link to the screenshot, that would be great!
This page has some helpful tips for taking screenshots:

Hi,
Here’s the url to the screenshot of the error:
https://deliberatecreationproject.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=867&action=editThe other challenge that I’m having is that it looks like my page isn’t updating correctly on the admin page.
Here’s what the home page looks like when I visit my website:
https://deliberatecreationproject.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=867&action=editHere’s what I see when I log into the back end and visit that page:
https://deliberatecreationproject.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=870&action=edit (this is what it used to look like).I also posted a new video on my blog page and it sent emails out saying I have a new post, but when I clicked the link, the new post wasn’t there. I’ve since deleted the new post because I was going to upload it differently, but I can’t do what I want to do without accessing the updated home page.
ugh. really really frustrated. Thank you for your help.

Hi there,
Thanks for sending those screenshots! It allowed me to narrow in on what is likely going wrong here. I think the issue is that your browsers are probably not set to allow third party cookies, which is a default setting on many browsers.
We actually have a help article which explains the entire thing. If you could review it here:
It will explain this and give you some information on how to fix it!

Hi, so I followed the directions (I’m 99% positive I understood them and did it correctly) and made sure third party cookies are allowed, but I’m still having the same problem. :(
-
nevermind, i unclicked and clicked the right settings a bunch of times and it seems to be working correctly now. Thanks again for helping me figure this out before I threw my computer against the wall!!

Hi there,
I’m sorry that you had to click them and unclick them a bunch of times, but I’m thrilled to hear that they’re working OK now!
Let me know if you need anything else!
