Error message saying a domain doesn't exist but cannot be registered

  I’m trying to start a new blog to showcase a writing portfolio.

  Was hoping to use this (adilahismail.wordpress.com) but I get a weird message saying that it doesn’t exist and that the address adilahismail.wordpress.com cannot be registered and that the site is reserved.

  What does this mean and is there any way of working around it, pls?

  I’ve been using wordpress for years and would really like to stick with it this time around as well. Thanks

  A blog name is reserved to match an account name – you would need to find that account and convince them to register the blog then transfer it to you

  Or you can buy a custom domain name and domain map it to a blog here then the base blog name will not matter
