Error Message Signing In: Authentication Required

  I am receiving a message as follows when attempting to sign in to my site’s dashboard:

  Authentication Required
  The server http://www.howlintwolf.com:80 requires a username and password. The server says: Enter username: wordpress password: protection.

  I have tried my WordPress username and password to no avail. Is this a problem on WordPress’ end or perhaps my server? And how can I get it resolved quickly?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I reviewed http://www.howlintwolf.com/ and I see that site is using WordPress but it is not hosted here at WordPress.com so we won’t be able to help you here.

  For help with a standalone install of the WordPress software, you’ll need to head over to http://wordpress.org/support If you don’t have an account there, you’ll need to register one.

  For clarity, WordPress and WordPress.com are two separate entities: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
