Error Message: This domain is already mapped to a WordPress.com site
-
We are trying to create a new website with a registered domain that is not mapped to another wordpress.com site, but we keep getting this error message: ‘This domain is already mapped to a WordPress.com site.’ After contacting godaddy.com, where the domain was purchased, they said the domain was not pointing anywhere. Please help resolve this issue.

You failed to provide any relevant information at all. Please do that now.
This is wordpress.COM support and we need details please.
1. What is the domain URL?
2. What is the underlying .wordpress.com URL?
3. Exactly which username account registered the underlying .wordpress.com blog and purchased the domain mapping upgrade for it?
4. When was the upgrade purchased?
5. When did the refund request and upgrade cancellation take place?Canceling upgrades
Every WordPress.COM blog has a sole owner. It is the person with the WordPress.COM username account who registered the blog under that username account and a single associated email address, and who is the original Admin of the blogs registered under that username account. You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard, cancel any upgrades, claim a refund for any qualified upgrades, and disable auto-renew. Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades. You can also disable auto-renew there. http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#canceling-upgrades
If you are not logged in under the correct username account then clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies prior to logging into another account
If you do not have the required access you need to contact the person who registered the account and site under it and have them transfer the sites to your username account by using this process. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account

Hi there,
Yes, we’ll need the domain URL so that I can check and verify that it is not connected to another WordPress.com account. If it is not, I can assist you in connecting the domain to your account.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!

Hi there,
I checked if joykrause.com was mapped, and I found it under a different WordPress.com account than the ones you are contacting us from. It has been mapped to that account almost a year and a half. You don’t know of any other account that it could be mapped to?
