Error message uploading my XML import file from Posterous

  When I locate the XML file and click upload, I get the following message:

  “Sorry there has been an error. The file is not an XML file.”

  The file clearly has an XML extension, so I am confused as to what the problem could be. I properly downoaded within a zip file from Posterous, and extracted the XML file to my desktop. I do not know what the problem is. Can you help?

  Ah yes this is a common bug if you are using a browser like Internet Explorer. Try using Firefox or Chrome (http://browsehappy.com) and it should work. Don’t ask me why, it just seems to work best on these two browsers.

  Thank you so much! Yes, I now remember – the Firefox browser was much more effective even with Posterous. My issue is resolved…thanks again for the tip.
