Error message when subscribing to site

  On my site http://austenvariations.com/ , I have a user trying to suscribe with a gmail email address using the subscription widget in the sidebar. She gets the message “There was an error when subscribing. Please try again”. I have tried subscribing myself and get no error. The latest version of JetPack is installed. I’m not sure what to try next. Any advice would be appreciated.

  austenvariations.com is a WordPress.ORG software install on paid hosting, hosted by Unified Layer

We do not provide support for local installs of WordPress.ORG software, or for WordPress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, linked to WordPress.COM accounts with the Jetpack plugin so they display on the My Sites WordPress.COM account page.

  WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.
