error message while loading theme… how do I fix it?

  I was trying to install and activate a theme, and got the following message. Now I cannot do anything. Any suggestions?

  Fatal error: Can’t use method return value in write context in /home/easc/public_html/wp-content/themes/hestia/inc/core/class-hestia-public.php on line 864
