error message with PayPal WP Button Manager

    I am using the PayPal WP Button Manager on my site. I need both a ‘buy now’ and ‘subscription’ button on the same page for a program I’m offering. When I click on the ‘buy now’ button everything is fine. When I click on the ‘subscription’ button I keep getting an error message on the PayPal website. I’ve deleted and recreated the button many times and having the same problem over and over. Is there a reason this is happening? Should I do something special? Is there a work around?

    It looks like PayPal WP Button Manager is a plugin for self-hosted WordPress.org sites. If yours is a self-hosted WordPress.org site, we are not able to help you with your site as you’re on the forum of WordPress.com sites.

    There are some differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org. If you aren’t sure about the differences, please check the following article that details the differences: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org

    Just for future reference, in general you can find help for your self-hosted site using the standalone WP software at https://wordpress.org/support/ If you don’t have a username there, you can register one on that page.
