Error messages when writing blog posts

The last few days when I try to write blog posts I get one of the following error messages:
1. an error saying ‘The editor has encountered an unexpected error’ with options to attempt recovery, copy post text, or copy error. If i try to recover it, I get a white screen and am unable to refresh the page and the only way to get back to my post is to close the tab and go back to my blog, but then my edits aren’t there and when I start typing, the error happens again.
2. Sometimes I also get an error in a red banner telling me that I’m not allowed to edit the post, even though I’m the one who created it in the first place.
It’s been progressively getting worse to the point where I can’t make any edits to any posts, I don’t know what to do! Please help!

Check if it makes any difference if you clear your browser cache, disable browser add-ons, or use a completely different browser.
Do you get the “unexpected error” error when trying to do something specific on the post, or does it appear to happen randomly?

Hi, this is on my wordpress blog, meltingpages.wordpress.com. I haven’t noticed any patterns to any of the errors, except now the one saying I’m not allowed to edit the post happens more frequently, every time I click the post to start typing. I don’t have any add on, and it has happened on different browsers.

Thanks for that information. Can you let us know which browsers and version numbers have been tested? If there’s any extensions enabled please try to turn those off and also clear the cache: https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache
Those are just good things to rule out. Is your account opened up on another device like phone or tablet? It may also be useful to sign out of any other instances.
