error on homepage

    There is notice that ‘An error has occurred; the feed is probably down. Try again later.’ on the lower right-hand side of our homepage: https://ysbookreviews.wordpress.com
    It has been there for a couple weeks. As that area should contain important information to our reviewers, it really must be restored.

    Hi there,

    I see that area in your sidebar is powered by the RSS widget, which is a way to get a “feed” of information from another site, and display in on yours.

    However, for this widget to work you can’t just add any link it has to be an “RSS feed URL” specifically. The issue is that you seem to have added this URL, which is a direct link to a webpage, and not a feed URL: https://www.librarything.com/catalog/YSBookRev

    Do you happen to know if librarything.com offers a RSS feed URL for that page? If you can enter that URL in the widget settings (instead of what you have now) and it will correctly display the feed. This is not something we can provide for you, but if you contact librarything.com for support they may be able to help you find the RSS feed URL for that page.

    Let us know the URL they give you and we’re happy to check it in our feed validator and confirm that it is a valid RSS feed. Thanks!
