Error on WordPress- the 2 characters 'if' in a word display as 'fi'

Error on WordPress- The characters i and f are displayed in the wrong order in the words on our wordpress site (disabilitybytes.wordress.com). For example the word benefits on our home page shows as ‘benefits’ in the edited and view page version but it displays as ‘beneifts’ on the actaual live site.

Hi there,
Other users have experienced the same problem which looks like it’s related to a specific font (Merryweather).
Here’s the thread to look at: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/letter-f-deleted-from-words-in-posts?replies=10#post-2546719.Can you double check for me if by any chance you’re using the same font? If so, probably by picking another font the issue should get fixed.
Cheers :)

A glitch with liguatures (like fl and fi) was introduced in the Merriweather font a few days ago. According to the font’s developer, a fix will be pushed through to Google Fonts today (Jan. 25) in the morning, Pacific time:
https://github.com/EbenSorkin/Merriweather/issues/16
Temporary workarounds include:
1. Add the following custom CSS, if you have access to the upgrade:
html { -webkit-font-variant-ligatures: none; -moz-font-variant-ligatures: none; font-variant-ligatures: none; }OR,
2. In your Customizer’s Fonts panel, choose another font.
