ERROR The requested URL could not be retrieved

  Hi,

  A bit of a weird one: beginning last night, I cannot see my blog antipopcult.wordpress.com on any browser or any device (or any other WordPress blogs!). I can still get into the WordPress admin and dashboard but the site itself returns this error:-

  “ERROR
  The requested URL could not be retrieved
  The following error was encountered while trying to retrieve the URL: http://antipopcult.wordpress.com/
  Connection to 76.7x.2xx.1xx failed.
  The system returned: (110) Connection timed out
  The remote host or network may be down. Please try the request again.”

  It’s strange but I cannot access any WordPress sites but ALL other sites remain unaffected. I haven’t updated any piece of software or firmware on anything, and it doesn’t make a difference which browser or PC/Mac/tablet I use. I have also cleared the cache from the browsers, but this doesn’t help either.

  Any suggestions?

  1. What is your IP address? You can find out by loading a site like the following:
     http://www.whatismyip.com/
  2. Can you let me know if any of the following load correctly on your side?
     • http://dfw.wordpress.com/
     • http://sat.wordpress.com/
     • http://iad.wordpress.com/
  3. Can you load http://wordpress.com/?

  Hi there,

  It looks like this was due to a block on certain IP addresses. We have since removed the block. Could you let me know if you’re still having trouble?
