Error trying to load a new plugin on a new WordPress site

    I have a primary domain that has no problems. I recently purchased an addon domain and when I try to load any plugin, I get this error:
    Installation failed: Warning: First parameter must either be an object or the name of an existing class in /home1/blueshp6/public_html/my second site/wp-content/plugins/bluehost-wordpress-plugin/vendor/bluehost/endurance-wp-plugin-updater/Updater.php on line 89 {‘success’:true,’data’:{‘install’:’plugin’,’slug’:’ocean-social-sharing’,’pluginName’:’Ocean Social Sharing’,’activateUrl’:’https://my second site.com/wp-admin/plugins.php?_wpnonce=918d762858&action=activate&plugin=ocean-social-sharing/ocean-social-sharing.php’}}

    I replaced my domain with ‘my second site’ in the string above. The plugin seems to load, but I don’t know if it is corrupted or not. Again, this is a freshly installed site. Tempted to reinstall WordPress and start over but thought I would try to get feedback first.

    Hi there!

    Based on those errors it sounds like your site is not hosted with WordPress.com but is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted at Bluehost.

    Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers.

    You can find more information here about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/

    I highly recommend that you reach out to your host for help with this. Since they’re hosting your site’s files, they also have access to those files and are the best ones to help you with this problem. You can reach them here:

    https://www.bluehost.com/contact

    I hope that helps!
