Error! Unable to create directory uploads/2021/12. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

  Hi there,

  I migrated my website from ‘deluxe Cpanel’ to ‘basic managed wordpress websites’ on Godaddy and after migration, when I try to upload a new photo to my website I get this error: ‘Unable to create directory uploads/2021/12. Is its parent directory writable by the server?’

  I contacted GoDaddy and they said this is out of their scope of what they have access to. I tried a bunch of suggestions online and was unable to sort this out on my own. Could you please help me with this?

  Sorry to hear that you are having trouble uploading photos on your website. Currently, you’re posting this at the forums for WordPress.com hosted sites.

  From what you’ve said above it looks like your site is hosted at GoDaddy and using the open-source wordpress.org software. You can read more about the differences between WordPress.org and WordPress.com here: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
